Scott studied filmmaking and History at Amherst College in Massachusetts. His 1999 thesis documentary video, Reflections from Sa Pa, Vietnam, about a community in rural Vietnam, won honorable mention from the 2000 World Population Film and Video Festival.
In addition to his work at 590films, Scott is a freelance producer, cameraman and editor and has worked for numerous cable and corporate clients such as Lime, AMC, Cisco, Alcoa, and Wal-Mart.
Scott recently produced a series of videos for Ballet Tech, a NYC public school that teaches classical ballet. He is proud to announce his recent partnership with 24DP Inc, a New York commercial production company who will represent him as a director of commercials and public service announcements. Scott's most recent documentary, about Cambodian Buddhist monks working with AIDS orphans, is showing at Frontline/World.

Julia Elliott directs, produces, and writes narration for 590films' documentary-style promotional films. She is the co-writer and co-producer of the award-winning feature film, Windhorse, which played in movie theaters throughout the country. Windhorse tells the story of one Tibetan family's struggle under Chinese occupation, and was shot in Nepal and clandestinely in Tibet. She was also the co-writer on Slumming It: Myth and Culture on the Bowery. She has worked as an associate producer on two PBS documentary series: Blackside, Inc.'s This Far by Faith: African American Spiritual Journeys, and California Newsreel's Race: The Power of an Illusion. She has taught video and film at several programs in the Boston area. In addition to her film and video work, she has produced several radio pieces. She graduated from Wesleyan University and received a master's degree from Harvard Divinity School.
