Julia Elliott was series associate producer and website producer for this six-part documentary series that explores the African American religious experience from slavery to Jim Crow, from civil rights into the 21st century. She was the associate producer on the first episode, "There is a River," which tells the stories of two leaders who used faith to fight against the devastation of slavery.
